The Rail 5 is high-value, electric mountain bike made for going big out on the trail. It’s full of the same tech that the Trek non-electric bikes have but it’s got the added advantage of the new Bosch drive system which will Sherpa you up the hill.
The Rail 5’s alloy frame is brawny and houses the 500Wh battery that powers the bike. RockShox 35 Gold RL fork gives you 160mm of travel with 150mm of rear travel. Couple this with the easy to use dropper post, you’ve got top end tech that will benefit you when you’re casing big jumps or taking on technical lines. The new Bosch Performance Line CX 250W motor can sustain you at 20mph so you’ll fly back up the hill for your next line. The Purion controller will assess the terrain you’re riding and deliver a boost to your pedals. It’s also really easy to use and you can keep an eye on how your battery is doing while riding. The 1×12 drivetrain gives you a wide option of gears to use which will give you plenty of options to set your pace with both your battery system and the terrain.
