Bike Retail Assistant

We’re looking for an experienced Bike Retail Assistant who’s passionate about getting people on the right bike and out riding.

With a strong background in retail, you’ll thrive in a customer-focused environment, providing expert advice and top-notch service. A love for bikes is essential, as is a willingness to learn and stay up to date with the latest gear. This is a permanent, full-time role starting in March with weekday shifts. Your role will involve:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and expert product advice
  • Assisting customer in selecting the right bike, gear and accessories
  • Processing sales and handling transactions efficiently
  • Merchandising and maintain store presentation to a high standard

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Retail experience, ideally in the bike or outdoor Industry
  • A passion for bikes and the ability to share that enthusiasm with customers
  • Strong sales skills with ability to math customers with the right products
  • A friendly, positive attitude and a team-focused mindset
  • The ability to learn and use retail systems, including POS and Inventory management
  • Legally allowed to work In NZ and available to work weekends and school holidays

Workshop Technician

Do you consider yourself a night owl? Are you drawn to a role where you can play all day and work at night?

Our Workshop Team dedicates their evenings to meticulously preparing customers' skis and snowboards, ensuring they're primed for an exhilarating ride the next morning. The perfect fit for this position is someone who thrives as a logical problem solver, takes pleasure in hands-on work, possesses a genuine passion for all things snow, and is eager to contribute their skills in a bustling workshop setting.

Your role will involve:

  • Tuning a wide range of skis and snowboards
  • Mounting skis for customers and our rental fleet
  • Assessing major repairs such as base patches or edge replacements
  • Advising customers about repairs and mounting locations

What we’re looking for in you:

  • Proven experience in a ski/snowboard workshop (desirable, although training will be provided)
  • Happy to work evenings
  • Experience with hands on work
  • A passion for the snow and the technical side of skiing and snowboarding
  • Be enthusiastic, friendly, hardworking and take pride in their work
  • Able to work well in a team

Rental Technician

for! Our rental team is dedicated to equipping customers with the perfect gear
to enhance their skiing experience and ensure they have an unforgettable day on
the mountain.

Your role will involve:

  • Assessing guests' requirements and abilities to identify the most suitable rental equipment
  • Cleaning and light maintenance of skis and boards
  • Assisting customers with purchases and price enquiries

What we're looking for in you:

  • A passion for the outdoors and first-hand understanding of gear requirements
  • Previous rental tech experience preferred
  • Good working knowledge of most ski brands
  • Enthusiasm, friendly and willingness to get your hands dirty

Winter Retail Assistant

Are you ready to be the welcoming smile that greets our customers at Racers Edge? As a Retail Assistant, your mission is to ensure every customer has an epic experience from the moment they step foot in our store. Whether they're simply browsing or on the hunt for a
complete gear overhaul, you'll be there to provide the legendary Racers Edge
experience.

Your role will involve:

  • Greeting customers
  • Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations
  • Assisting customer with purchases, price enquiries and special orders
  • Restocking and merchandising

What we're looking for in you:

  • A passion for all things snow
  • Proven retail experience, ideally in clothing, ski or outdoor industries
  • Enthusiasm, friendly and a love for the outdoors

Stock Processor

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Casual Stock Processor to join our team and cover leave in June and beyond! You’ll be responsible for receiving, processing, and organising incoming stock, ensuring products are ready for the sales floor. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in keeping things organised, we’d love to hear from you!

Your role will involve:

  • Receiving, unpacking and checking incoming stock for accuracy and quality
  • Labelling and pricing stock correctly before it goes on the sales floor
  • Organising and replenishing stock in the store and storage areas
  • Assisting with stocktakes and Inventory management to maintain accurate records
  • Ensuring stock is stored efficiently and safely
  • Coordinating with the sales team to ensure product are readily available for customers

What we're looking for in you:

  • Previous experience in a stock handling warehousing or retail support role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing stock
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
  • Physical capability to lift and move stock as required
