Retail Assistant - Casual
As a Retail Assistant, your mission is to ensure every customer has an epic experience from the moment they step foot in our store. Whether they’re simply browsing or on the hunt for a complete gear overhaul, you’ll be there to provide the legendary Racers Edge experience.
Your role will involve:
- Greeting customers
- Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations
- Assisting customers with purchases, price enquiries and special orders
- Restocking and merchandising
What we’re looking for in you:
- A passion for all things outdoor
- Have proven retail experience, ideally in clothing/ski/outdoor industries
- Be enthusiastic, friendly and have a love for the outdoors
Assistant Store Manager
We’re on the hunt for an Assistant Store Manager who brings energy, passion, and a genuine love for the outdoors. Someone who can help with leading the team, fostering a high-performing culture, and making sure every customer leaves inspired and ready for their next adventure.
This is a hands-on role where your product knowledge, leadership, and enthusiasm for the outdoors will make a real impact every day.
- Supporting the Store Manager with team leadership, coaching, and development
- Leading by example on the shop floor as a trusted Gear Guide
- Helping the team deliver outstanding customer experiences and meet sales targets
- Supporting inventory management, stock accuracy, and operational tasks
- Assisting with community engagement, marketing, and events
Bike Retail Assistant
As a Bike Retail Assistant, your mission is to ensure every customer has an awesome experience from the moment they walk through the door. Whether they’re looking for a new bike, some essential riding gear or just a bit of advice, you’ll be there to provide friendly service and help them find what they need.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations across bikes, clothing and accessories
- Assist customers with purchases, enquiries and special orders
- Restock and merchandise the store
- Assist with bike rentals and general day-to-day store duties
- Proven retail experience, ideally in clothing/bike/outdoor industries
Bike Rental & Retail Assistant
We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Bike Rental & Retail Assistant to join our team in Wanaka. This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week, with the potential for additional hours for the right candidate!
You’ll be one of the friendly faces helping customers get set up for their day on the trails, while also lending a hand in our retail store.
- Greeting customers and helping them get set up with their bike rental
- Providing advice on bike options, pricing and local riding
- Assisting with basic bike preparation and maintenance
- Assisting customers with retail purchases and product recommendations
- Keeping the rental and retail areas clean, tidy and organised
- Bike industry experience or mechanical knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
